Just how much would you have to pay to power all of Clark Griswold’s 25,000 Christmas lights in the state of Iowa? A whoooooole lot!

"National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation" is no doubt one of the most iconic Christmas movies of all time. I think that almost every person who has ever watched that movie has at one point wished that they could light up their house just like Clark Griswold. Unfortunately, it would take a lot of work, and cost a lot of money.

Just how much would it cost to power all 25,000 of those lights for an entire month? Estately did the math and figured out how much you would be spending in each state. For the state of Iowa, it is NOT cheap. If you use incandescent lights like Clark, your electric bill would be about $3,450. Now, LED lights would be insanely cheaper to run, with a bill of only $39 for the month, but LED lights are going to cost you more at the store, so it's kind of a trade-off.
