UPDATE: KCRG is reporting that two people have died following an accident on I-380 northbound early this morning. 69-year-old Rob Norton Jr., the owner of KZIA Radio in Cedar Rapids and founder of KRNA Radio, was pronounced dead at the scene. Also dead is 28-year-old Jennifer Koeighain of Cedar Rapids. Police reports say that Norton's vehicle was traveling the wrong way on the northbound lanes of I-380 when it collided with Koeighain's car.

A crash involving multiple vehicles closed a portion of northbound I-380 overnight near Wright Brothers Blvd. Cedar Rapids police received a call just after 9 p.m. of a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the interstate.

Officers then found the crash site on I-380 between 76th Ave. and Wright Brothers Blvd. Because of the debris involved, northbound lanes of I-380 were closed and traffic was rerouted on to Wright Brothers Blvd and then north on 6th street SW.

I-380 northbound reopened to traffic around 3 a.m. The names of those injured and their conditions have not yet been released.
