Remember the days when there was so much free time in the day, when you could get things done and still spend plenty of time together?  Okay, maybe that never really existed...  Life unfortunately has left me so busy lately that I could not complete one very important holiday task.  I have not hung the holiday lights.

Weeks ago, I was able to blame Mother Nature.  But since then, we've had plenty of nice weather days, especially on the weekends.  However, I guess I didn't prioritize right, or was simply just too involved, or ran too many errands...  I could make excuses all day.  Fact is, Christmas is 9 days away, and my house looks boring.  Horribly boring. And I feel I have stolen some of the Christmas magic from the kids. After growing up in a house that had awesome outside lights year after year, I always enjoyed that "magic" of coming home to a lit up house, so I feel robbed and guilty myself.

Thankfully, the kids haven't said anything, so maybe they're not really missing it.  After all, the inside of the house is in full Christmas display, and we really aren't outside that much anyway during this time of year. It's just frustrating to me.

All that being said, thankfully, there are some AMAZING Christmas light displays across the area.  And I think next Monday we are planning on taking our "Holiday Lights Tour", where we load up the mugs with Hot Cocoa and hit the road with the Christmas music playing loud, taking in the work off all of you who put in the time and energy to help create the outdoor magic.  I know we're definitely heading to see "Blue Creek Christmas" in Walker.  Beyond that, we're not really sure.

So let's hear it.  Where's the best decorations/lights in and around the corridor?
