The right equipment and supplies make all the difference at any job. In radio, some of our most important gear is our headphones. I go through about a pair a year, and just had to make another purchase recently.

This time, I shopped around for a couple weeks (partly while waiting for the paycheck to be deposited and partly to see if there was anything comparable on the market in the same price range that might hold up better) until I finally settled, yet again on my favorite headphones, the Sennheiser HD-202s. As I alluded to, the lifespan is limited to about a year and though the cord is a bit of an inconvenience due to its length (10 ft.), I manage to make it work using the handy cable winder that comes with them.

I swear it's like Christmas for me when a new pair of these arrives. I've found the sound quality to be the best in studio-monitor headphones for a DJ on a budget, and although I go through a lot of them, I may never go back to anything else. They sound great, and they are inexpensive--THE best $25 you'll ever spend on headphones. Now I can hit the airwaves with confidence again!
