Iowa will host the Cyclones this Saturday at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City. The game will be televised on FOX starting at 4:05 p.m. Iowa enters the game 1-0 after defeating Northern Illinois last week 33-7.

The Hawks are a 4 point favorite according to local bookie Pauly 'Pork Chop' Parizzi. "I lost a fortune on the game last week, Parizzi told me. "The entire state had Iowa minus the 8 and I got killed!" He's hoping for better results this week.

If you plan to bet the game, here's a few stats:

  • Iowa State is 15-11 against the spread versus Iowa since 1992
  • Iowa is 16-0 straight up against Iowa State since 1992
  • 11 of 17 games in the series have gone UNDER THE TOTAL since 1992

This will be the 66th meeting between for Iowa and Iowa State. Iowa holds a 43-22 advantage in the series that began with a 16-8 ISU win way back in 1894. That game wasn't televised.

I like the Hawks this week. I think they are a much better team the Cyclones. But you never know what will happen when these two teams play each other!

My prediction: Iowa 24, Iowa State 16.
