It certainly appears this year's intrastate rivalry between the Hawkeyes and Cyclones will be played at night.

This tweet from ESPN's Brett McMurphy clearly shows two different night games September 10 on Big Ten Network, including the clash for the Cy-Hawk Trophy.

No one from Iowa or Iowa State will or can confirm the news. Steve Roe, Sports Information Director at Iowa, told Hawk Central he "had no timetable on when a game time could be announced." He went on to say "The release of information regarding prime time games comes to our office from the Big Ten Conference. The order includes the ESPN network of stations selections first, followed by Big Ten Network selections."

While it's not "official" yet, it sure seems like it's as good as official. The speculation, we'll call it, is being met with excitement and warnings:

This is likely to mean THREE night games for Iowa during the 2016 season. The other two would be at Penn State (November 5) and the following week (November 12) at Kinnick versus the Michigan Wolverines. Isn't it amazing how an awesome season can change television's level of interest...

The last time Iowa and Iowa State met under the lights at Kinnick was 2002 when Iowa State won 36-31.
