An Eastern Iowa native who grew up in Cedar Rapids, Zach Johnson is currently ranked 40th in the world, according to PGA Tour Standings. He has just completed another outstanding weekend on the course.

In his best finish in a tournament since 2015, Zach placed second in the World Golf Championships Bridgestone Invitational, being edged out only by 3rd ranked Hideki Matsuyama. The WGC Bridgestone tournament was held at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio.

Over the weekend, Johnson shot a combined score of 269 and earned just over a $1 million prize.

Zach has 12 PGA tour victories on the professional circuit, including the famous 2007 Masters win, his first major career victory.
