It may not be the most exciting place to live, but being a resident of Iowa does have it's advantages.

According to Business Insider, Iowa ranks the lowest of the 50 states for identity theft and credit card fraud.

The article states that identity theft is on the decline in the U.S. but cases of credit card fraud have risen. Both credit card fraud and identity theft have a national average cost of nearly $3,000.

Nevada is the worst state for credit card fraud and identity theft. But here in Iowa, we are doing better than all other 49 states.

It's nice to be number one in some things. This is one of them!
