The recovery process and clean up begins today for several Iowa communities struck by tornadoes yesterday.

Area charitable organizations are mobilizing efforts to help in many ways. The Convoy of Hope today tweeted photos of large trucks filled with supplies heading to Iowa from their headquarters in Springfield, Missouri. They have details on what you can do to help.

Today Gov. Kim Reynolds has toured the damage in Bondurant, and Pella, and is scheduled to be in Marshalltown today at 2:00 p.m. according to CBS2 News.

Amazingly, there have been no deaths reported. At least 17 people suffered injuries. Most of those have been treated and released.

Alliant Energy reports power is still out for many residents in the Marshalltown area.

The National Weather Service in Des Moines said there were at least five confirmed tornadoes, and more data is expected to be released in the coming days.
