Overall, Iowa just broke the top 10, coming in at number 9! With a total score of 69.11, Iowa came in 10th place for "Economic & Social Well-Being" and 9th place for "Health & Safety." Iowa also has the 5th highest high school graduation rate for women.

The Midwest and the East Coast seem to be the best places for women, with Minnesota, Massachusetts, Vermont, North Dakota, and Wisconsin making up the top 5. The five worst states for women are all in the South: Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Alabama.
