Is It Too Soon To Decorate? What’s Your Take?

Halloween is the next big holiday coming up, so no denying people are getting excited.  After all, as soon as school was in, if not sooner, store were clearing aisles to get ready for the big holiday, and cashing in on sales as quickly as they could.  But, is it time to put those decorations up?

About 3 weeks ago, as I entered my neighborhood, and noticed that one of the houses I passed already has Halloween decorations up.  And by the end of the weekend, 2 more houses in my neighborhood also had them up.  I'm not just talking a couple pumpkins out.  I'm talking about caution tape on the door, decals in the windows, stuff in the yard... again, this was 3 weeks ago.

Now I get it, besides Christmas, this is possibly the most popular and people love going all out.  But, over a month out... for Halloween?  I think that's a little much, and I like to decorate.  But October 1st the earliest seems like more than enough time to me.

What do you think?  Is mid September too early to decorate for Halloween?
