LaPorte City teenager Jake Wilson went missing as of April 7 near Wolf Creek and has not been seen since.

Authorities reported a "significant development" in the case two weeks ago, holding a news conference. There, it was announced that human remains were found near the area Wilson went missing. Those remains were not identified at the time, as we were told it would take a few weeks to test the DNA.

However, it was strongly believed the remains found were those of the missing 16-year-old. That testing looks to have been completed, as Black Hawk County authorities have scheduled a news conference for 4 p.m. this Wednesday, August 29 at the LaPorte City fire station, to discuss the case.

You will be able to follow the press conference as it streams live on the Facebook page of our news and weather partner CBS2. We will also keep you posted on developments and announcements in the case here and through our free mobile app.
