On Christmas Eve, we learned some sad news from Janet Jackson.  She announced via her twitter account that her Unbreakable World Tour, which includes a stop at the iWireless Center in Moline next June, will be halting temporarily.

I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon. It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled. Please hold on to your tickets. They will be honored in a special way when the new schedule is announced. Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment. I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon' b alright.

This leaves us with 2 huge questions. What is the surgery for?  Will it impact the Moline show in June?

As for the first question, we have no clue.  All we have is the above statement and speculation. It's possibly vocal related, as she was put on vocal rest back in August. There's no confirmation on that unfortunately, as neither Janet or her label are commenting further.

As for the Moline show, as of now, there's no change, as she says this will only impact shows until Spring, and with our show being in June, we should be okay, so hold onto those tickets.  We'll let you know if anything changes.

Since before its launch, the whole tour has been plagued with setbacks. Back during tour rehearsals, her father, Joe, suffered a stroke, and Janet took time off to spend with him.  A few months into the tour, which launched in August, her doctor put her on vocal rest, forcing reschedules.  She's also had an ear infection during the tour, restricting air travel.

We wish Janet the best in what must be a very difficult time for her.  We look forward to the June show, and will let you know if anything changes.
