Jason Mraz is getting back out on the road for another leg of the "Yes" tour. Ames will be the first stop. Next Monday night March 9, Mraz and his longtime collaborators from the band Raining Jane will hit the Stephens Auditorium stage.

"Yes" is his fifth studio disc. The Virginia native jump-started his career at coffee houses in San Diego back in the early 2K's.

Stephens Auditorium has been home to great Central Iowa shows since 1969. That's a long history. Monty Python, Blue Man Group and Dreamgirls have graced the stage in the past couple of years.

I've seen a few other concerts at Stephens, and a couple more at Hilton. My most memorable Ames show was Paul McCartney in July 1990 at Jack Trice Stadium. One of the best shows I've ever seen. There's something about a college town and it's unique energy that lends itself to great stage performances.

Mraz chose a great city to kick off this leg of the tour. Enjoy! (And hit our events page for more info on this and other great shows across the region)
