It was just announced that Katy Perry is headed to Iowa.  Des Moines specifically.  But before you frantically go scrambling to find tickets, it's not for a concert, but for a campaign stop in support of Hillary Clinton. The pop starlet will be appearing at Hillary's October 24 rally preceding the Iowa Democratic Party's integral annual Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.

Katy is no stranger to the political circuit however, even though it might be the first time we've seen her as part of the 2016 campaign.  She's actually a pretty strong Clinton supporter, last seen with her during the 2014 book tour for Hillary's "Hard Choices" book. Rumor has it, she may be even be working on a campaign song for Clinton. We'll stay tuned for that.  Maybe this Iowa stop will be the big debut of it.  Just think... "You're Gonna Hear Us Roar... Hill, Hill, Hill, Hill, Hillary... Hill, Hill, Hill, Hill, Hillary..."  Besides Hillary, you may also remember Katy as part of President Obama's 2012 campaign, in very memorable dresses.

If you happen to be heading to the dinner on the 25th, snap us a picture.  And make sure to say hi on behalf of KDAT.  We're curious to see what she'll wear. Now, if we can only sway her to drop by the station en route...
