KDAT is Your Holiday Music Station

Merry Christmas, KDAT listeners! Every year about this time, we start hearing the question: "when will Christmas music start playing on 104-5 KDAT?"  We love your enthusiasm about it, and after careful consideration of your feedback--and a lot of factors which are above my pay grade--we decide the best time to flip the switch.

November 15th won the "coin toss" this year, so here it is. Starting now, listen for continuous Christmas music until Midnight Christmas night (technically speaking, midnight on the morning of December 26.)

Some years we've started before Halloween, others after Thanksgiving, on rare occasions we've waited until December. But no matter what, we always strive to make sure we're giving you the right amount of festive fun on the air to accompany your holiday season.

But we haven't forgotten Thanksgiving! After all, what we're most thankful for each year is you--the KDAT listeners. We want to help all of our listeners have the sweetest Thanksgiving possible, with the KDAT Thanksgiving Dessert Recipe Contest. Send us your best Thanksgiving dessert recipes, and they will be featured in the online recipe book starting next week. You'll also be rewarded with some fantastic prizes.
