The kids have been planning what they're going to be for Halloween for weeks now so why let them enjoy it for only one day of the year? Get ready for a day of fun that's all about kids, with lots of great activities and a Halloween twist!Join us Saturday, October 25 at the Helen G. Nassif YMCA Downtown for Kids Fest! It's a full day of fun and games for kids of all ages. There'll be so much to do, they might even beg to take a nap when they get home.

The day kicks off with the "Monster Dash" starting at 10 a.m. It's a chance for the kids to get in their costumes and run off a little energy. Then head on inside for fun family activities like Zumba, Tae Kwon Do, and Yoga demonstrations/classes, or some basketball, gymnastics, cheering, and dance. There'll be a craft station, as well as a bouncy house and carnival games, plus a cake walk, bingo, and "musical tombstones". Plus, since it will be just days before Halloween, there will also be a not-too-spooky" haunted house. But the fun doesn't stop there. You and the kids can join games of volleyball, kickball, and dodgeball, or go for a swim, as the pool will be open from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. (Just make sure you remove any costume make-up first.)
