Thrillist came up with a list of the most underrated spot in each state, and Iowa's is pretty darn cool!

With me only living in Iowa for about a year and a half now, there are still a lot of places that I have yet to visit. It seems like another awesome place I've never heard of pops up every day! I guess now I'll be adding Lake Okoboji to my list of must-visit places, as it was just named by Thrillist as the "most underrated" place in the state of Iowa. The article states:

"In the summer, the lake is a recreation destination highlighted by Arnolds Park, a sort of boardwalk amusement zone built on the shore. But in the winter, it's home to the University of Okoboji Winter Games. The university itself is completely fake, but that doesn't stop the city from selling the U-of-O logo on anything imaginable. The games, however, are very real, and range from broomball to flag football to a "freeze your fanny" bike ride."

The article also states that a "must-do" is take a ride on the Ferris wheel at Arnolds in the summertime.

Do you think Lake Okoboji deserves its first place spot, or is there somewhere else in Iowa that you think is even MORE underrated? Let us know in the comments below!
