Lin-Manuel Miranda and Auli'i Cravalho gave a rousing performance of their song "How Far I'll Go" at the 2017 Academy Awards. The track, which is off the soundtrack of Disney's animated feature Moana. is nominated in the category of Best Original Song.

Miranda performed an original rap for the song before Cravalho took the stage to sing the lyrics to "How Far I'll Go" in a gorgeous red dress. The 16-year-old young starlet provided the voice of the lead character and contributed her vocal talents to the soundtrack as well.

Other nominees in the song's category include "Can't Stop the Feeling" from Trolls, "Audition" and "City of Stars" from La La Land, and "The Empty Chair" from Jim: The James Foley Story.

Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the 89th Annual Academy Awards ceremony takes place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday, February 26, broadcast live on ABC beginning at 8:30 PM EST. The 2017 Academy Award nominees were announced on January 24.
