Dedric Ward calls his hometown Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He went to Washington High School, and attended college at UNI. While playing for the Panthers, Ward set the Gateway Conference record with 3,876 receiving yards and 41 touchdowns.

Dedric was drafted in the third round of the 1997 NFL draft. He went on to play 8 seasons and won a Super Bowl ring with the New England Patriots in 2003. After his playing days were over, Ward got into coaching and mentoring young athletes.

With all of his success, it's good to see that our local legend hasn't forgotten where he came from. For the 18th consecutive year, The Dedric Ward Football Camp is returning to Cedar Rapids. The camp will take place on the weekend of June 22 and 23.

All kids between the grades of 4-9 are welcome to attend. There is no cost, just show up with a fun and positive attitude! For more information, check out this link.

The camp location is 1100 A'Hearn Drive in Cedar Rapids. Most football parents know that location as the Metro Youth Football Complex. Registration will close on June 11, so now is the time to get signed up!

The camp will focus on football, fundamentals, and fun! Special thanks to Dedrick for giving back to the community.
