Clarksville, Iowa native Maddie Poppe is coming to Cedar Rapids. Poppe is a singer-songwriter who won Season 16 of American Idol with her unique style.

The 22-year-old star not only has an incredible voice, but she can play guitar, ukulele, and piano. We watched her showcase all of the talents on American Idol. Even the first time we saw her audition, we knew there was something special about her (and that's not just because she's an Iowan).

Others obviously saw the sparkle too as she won the competition and now she's traveling, doing what she loves. She's even made appearances on shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live and Live! with Kelly & Ryan performing songs like her hit single "Made You Miss".

Now, she'll be gracing us with her talents at the Paramount Theatre in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, December 12. Which means we'll get to see her before the end of the year, yay! The press release states that tickets to the show go on-sale this Friday, October 30 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased through CREventsLive.com. It will be a socially-distanced event so tickets must be purchased in Pods of 2, 3, 4 or 5. All guests will also be expected to follow new health and safety guidelines that include wearing face masks when not at a pod and social distancing.
