Man Escapes From Cedar Rapids Work Release

According to our friends at CBS2, "A man has been listed as escaped from a state prison work release center in Cedar Rapids."

The suspect's name is Eldra Scott Jennings Jr. The 22-year-old didn't report back to the Larry Nelson Center on Saturday afternoon. The Larry Nelson Center is where people who leave jail or prison go to finish out their sentence and continue rehabilitating.

Jennings is serving a sentence for intimidation with a dangerous weapon. His offense happened in Johnson County.

November 13th was the day Jennings Jr. was admitted to the work release program. If you have any information that could lead to an arrest, please contact the Cedar Rapids Police at 319-286-5350.
