The Iowa State Fair will not be All About That Bass on Saturday the 22nd, as Meghan Trainor has cancelled her appearance. The singer took to Instagram earlier today to make the announcement that she is now on vocal rest, and will be cancelling the rest of her tour.  According to the Des Moines Register, State Fair officials have confirmed that includes her Fair performance.

Meghan's fans may recall she cancelled a bunch of shows last month due to vocal injury, however she did recover, or so she hoped.  Unfortunately, it appears she has re-injured the chords. As she explains in the post, she was trying to take all precautions, unfortunately a bought with bronchitis "pushed it over the edge". Now she's going to be heading to surgery.

The State Fair does plan to replace their top Pop show of the Fair season, but the artist is unknown at this time.  They also say ticket holders can get refunds at the place they purchased their tickets.

This has been happening a ton with some of our favorite pop stars over the past couple of years, more recently Sam Smith.  Are we pushing our favorite singers too hard?

Please join us in wishing Meghan the best in her recovery.
