It's one of Iowa's most awful mysteries. What happened to Jodi Huisentruit?

June 27, 1995: Mason City TV news anchor, and former CBS2 employee, Jodi Huisentruit was late for work for her KIMT morning show. A co-worker called her at home and Jodi immediately asked what time it was. She was told "It's 10 after 4, you need to come in." 27 years-old at the time, Jodi has never been seen or heard from since.

When police arrived at her apartment complex that morning in the early summer of 1995, Jodi's vehicle was still there, as were signs of a struggle. As the video at bottom states, "it appeared that Jodi had been attacked from behind and then dragged away from her car. And her stuff was scattered behind."

This weekend, the CBS news program 48 Hours will reveal new information on the investigation into her disappearance. The episode will air Saturday, December 15 at 9 p.m. Iowa time.

Billboards were posted in Mason City on June 5, Jodi's 50th birthday. They bear a photo of Jodi and the message below. I sincerely hope the billboards and this weekend's 48 Hours will lead to an arrest connected to her disappearance. Jodi was declared legally dead in May of 2001, but we're all still holding onto hope that she's found alive.
