As Sunday snow showers drop another 1 to 3 inches of fresh white powder on Eastern Iowa, there is concern for another round of winter weather expected later this week.

CBS 2 Weather reports a bigger storm arriving late Monday into Tuesday could blend a winter mix of snow, sleet or freezing rain, that could impede our workday commute.

School delays and maybe even more closings are possible. Many parents are already preparing for the worst, and have become fatigued with trying to juggle kids staying home from school with their own work schedules.

About the only nice thing one can say about the additional dumping of snow in these 1 inch to 3 inch amounts every few days, is that at the very least it looks pretty. You have to admit that snow gets dirty rather quick, so getting a bit more than a dusting every few days does brighten up the muddy snow piles and illuminates cold dark nights.
