Never Grow Up With Children’s Theater This Weekend At Linn-Mar

Oh to be a kid again with less worries and more fun. Give yourself an hour these next couple days to do just that... live like a kid, with a trip to Neverland, as Playtime Poppy presents: Peter Pan Jr., The Musical at Linn-Mar.

I'm a huge fan of Playtime Poppy, and no surprise, my kids are too.  It's just great Children's Theater, the way it should be done.  I was in theater in High School, and we usually did a kid's show during the year, but it wasn't quite like this.  Playtime Poppy specializes in taking popular stories or characters, and puts them on stage for a condensed hour long show, which is the perfect length for child attention spans.  Even better, there's a ton of audience interaction before, during, and then after the show.  The kids love becoming a part of the story, and then meeting their favorite characters for autographs after the show.  And the best part for parents is seeing their kids completely engaged and in awe.

This weekend, it's Peter Pan Jr., The Musical at Linn-Mar which is perfect.  I'm sure your family, like mine, gathered around the tube to catch the NBC Peter Pan live over the holidays, so it's a story (and stage performance) that's pretty recent in memory.  It's also one of my favorite stories too, because it's all about staying young as long as possible.
