New CV Humane Society Director

Please join me in welcoming Lonnie Viner to the KDAT airwaves. She will join Jan Clark as hosts of the KDAT Pet Project with the Cedar Valley Humane Society. It airs every Tuesday morning at 10:20.

Lonnie transitions from Community Events Coordinator to Executive Director and is a lifelong resident of the Cedar Rapids area. Her predecessor Chuck Tortillott recently moved to Northern California to manage a start-up shelter organization.

Lonne, Jan and I put the spotlight on cats and dogs looking for forever homes and chat about the many fundraisers on the calendar at CVHS. Located just east of Highway 13 on Mt. Vernon Road, the shelter is open 7 days a week. Stop in and meet a furry friend like Missy [pictured] this weekend!
