As popular as Facebook is and continues to become, people are using it for all sorts of purposes. This leads to many annoyances over what gets posted.

Most of us have social media pet peeves and the latest one seems to be inspirational quotes. Aside from the haughty derision over whether the quote is properly attributed to the person who actually said it, a new study from the pop culture website Vice has said that people who post these quotes are "dumb". This might suggest it's a more tongue-in-cheek study, but I'm here to admit it -- I do this exact thing. I love finding uplifting messages and sharing them. Excuse me for bringing some positivity to the table.

Facebook is used for multiple things such as plugging our work, discussing the latest seasonal illness, political bickering, the photographic evidence that you had an amazing breakfast at a hot restaurant (I would have taken your word for it), posting the dreaded "spoiler" and many, many others. We can sometimes get bogged down with what we read on Facebook.

At the end of the day I think we should leave some things to ourselves, but overall just have fun with social media in our own way because that's what it's meant to be. To use one of the more popular (or infamous) quotes, "live, laugh, love".

Do you have a problem with certain things you see on Facebook? Let me know in the comment section.
