One Week Away!

Christmas Day is just one week away, and judging by the line at FedEx on First Ave, the masses are ready to ship!

For many, it's travel prep...and for others, it's prepping the house for holiday parties. Most of us have our trees up, but I noticed the Hy-Vee on Collins still has 'em for sale. Might be able to snag a good deal right about now. Just being with family and friends is "gift enough" for most.

For some, the late great Dan Fogelberg's "Same Auld Lang Syne" isn't top shelf this time of year. Others, me included, just love that old diddy. Frozen foods section. Married her an architect. Snow turns into rain. Gets me every time.

1 week = 7 days = 168 hours = 10,080 minutes = 604,800 seconds until I put that tear jerker away for another year. I'll savor every minute and drink a toast to innocence.
