Our Next “Fest” Is For The Little Ones

After a wonderful Saturday at New Bo City Market for Baconfest 2014, our latest installment of KidsFest is right around the corner...literally and figuratively.

Just down the street from New Bo, we'll have our annual event for the smallest citizens of Eastern Iowa. On Saturday, October 25, join KDAT for a great day at Helen G. Nassif YMCA Downtown/Cedar Rapids.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., we'll have a midday packed with fun for kids and the kid in all of us! The Family Fitness Area will feature yoga, tae kwon do, Zuma and more. Since our event is just days before Halloween, we'll feature [Not Too Scary] Haunted House + a photo booth so you can obtain a picture of your child in costume.

Some fun games are planned, including a Cake Walk, Musical Trombones and Bingo. My kids always enjoy bouncy houses...maybe yours too. We'll have one on-site and feature carnival games. Throw in an obstacle course, volleyball, kickball and dodgeball and you have a day packed with fun for all.

And, of course the spectacular pool at the Y will be available all day for games and open swim.
