The Carson household got a new cat last Sunday. Any expert will tell you those first couple days are so important when bringing a new animal into a house that already has an animal, and I think we blew it.  They recommend you keep the new animal separated from the other animals for about 4 days. I think we lasted maybe 24 hours. We didn't go full-out complete open doors. Instead, it's been a little face to face here and there. However, with each passing day we have them spend more and more time together. In other words, we're trying to force it without completely forcing it. Ask any expert, and that's a big no-no.

A little background: our current cat Sophie came from a house with both dogs and other cats, and she was fine.  Paris, the new kitty, was at the shelter in a room with other kitties, and she was fine. So, we figured this wouldn't be an issue. Well, good thing we're not experts.

The weird part is, the new kitty is the one being a bully. Sophie just wants to play, but the new kitty just hisses and growls. At this point, I'm worried they'll never be fully friends, but only time will tell. Some sites say we should start over with the seclusion. If we didn't have the patience the first time, I don't think that will work. Guess we'll just remain hopeful they'll work it out.  Any advice?
