Have Your Parking Fines Forgiven with Donations to the Needy

Here's an excellent way to both give and receive this holiday season. Now through December 23, local residents with outstanding parking fines can have them forgiven by Park Cedar Rapids with donations of supplies to homeless shelters and family service centers. The following is a list of items being accepted at the Park Cedar Rapids office, 349 4th Ave SE. based on the amount you owe:

$7.50: Baby Wipes & Diapers (all sizes), 4pk Toilet Paper & 2pk Paper Towels, Hat & Gloves, Small Blanket, Baby Clothes, Deodorant, Shampoo, & Conditioner, Body Wash/Bar Soap, Dish Soap, and Disinfecting Wipes.

$12.50: Pinesol Cleaner and Laundry Soap, 6 pk Toilet Paper & Female Care Products, 6 pk Paper Towels, Baby Formula, Bed Sheet Set, Mattress Protector, Garbage Bags & Ziplock Bags, and First Aid Kits.

$25.00: Walmart, Hyvee, or Target Gift Card equal to $20 or more, Diaper Bag, Winter Coat, Snow Boots, Pillows(2), Large Blanket, and Bath Towels(2).

$100.00: Walmart, Hyvee, or Target Gift Card equal to $90 or more, Bedding Sets (all sizes), Stroller, Kitchen Set (pots and pans), and 31 Day Bus Passes(2).
