We all like doing our part to help the community, especially when its area kids we're helping out.  October 24 is another one of those events as Hiawatha Parks and Rec holds their Annual "Playing For Keeps" event, which benefits children's programs inside the Parks and Recreation Department.  And this continues to be one fun event for adults.

Year after year, the community loves coming out for the wine and beer tasting, heavy hors devours, musical entertainment, and the huge live and silent auction stacked with some amazing things.  For example, the released list so far includes something for golf lovers, those with a sweet tooth, pet care packages, sports trips and other prize packs, tons of things for families, and plenty of trips. You can see the full list here.  It's quite impressive.

We have some great Playing for Keeps auction items this year! Join us on October 24th from 6-9pm at Hiawatha City Hall.

If you're looking for something to do that evening, this might be just the thing, so reserve the babysitter now.  Besides, the kids should be pretty exhausted after a fun morning at KidsFest anyway, so the babysitter should have it easy.
