Popular Iowan to Join DWTS Cast And We’re Stunned… NOT

We called it. And now ABC has confirmed it.  The final "mystery" contestant has been revealed, making us wonder why they tried to play up the mystery.  At least Iowa will be represented, again.If you hadn't guessed or heard by now, that final contestant is none other than Arlington Iowa's own, Chris Soules, aka "Prince Farming", ABC's latest Bachelor. He joins the list of other famous Iowans who have been on the show including Shawn Johnson, Lolo Jones, and Cloris Leachman.

Like I said, we called it. It's the norm for reality shows, especially Dancing With the Stars (who is practically begging for star-power) to take someone from within their own programming, especially when they are as likeable as Chris is.  In fact, he's the 5th DWTS contestant to have come from the Bachelor shows (behind Sean Lowe, Jake Pavelka, Melissa Rycroft, and original Bachelorette Trista Sutter).

The biggest positive, it gives us a reason to watch, as no matter how we feel, it's all about Iowa pride supporting our own.  Who knows, maybe we'll somehow get hooked.  The show kicks off Monday, March 16th.
