If you or someone you know has ever had Broadway dreams, this might just be your chance.  In just one month, "Ragtime: The Musical" takes the stage at the Paramount Theatre as part of their 'Broadway at the Paramount' series, and they have an opening for a local actor to fill a character vacancy.

The role is for "Young Coalhouse," as being a Broadway show, there are some specifics they are looking for:

Young Coalhouse is a young African American boy, ideally around 4
years old and 3’6” tall and 40 pounds. Young Coalhouse should have an “innocent” and “pure” quality about him. In role, Young Coalhouse will be picked up by an adult cast member, sit on a cast member’s lap and pretend to play piano. Young Coalhouse will
also skip in a circle holding hands with other young actors. Young actor must be able to attend rehearsal and wardrobe fittings on Sunday, February 14, two hours prior to show time. Young actor will need a chaperone over 18 years of age to accompany him at all times. The actor must also wear their own white under shirt, black shoes and black socks.

While we get that those are tight requirements, we're confident you know the perfect child to fit the role.  If that's the case, the parents of that actor need to submit a full length front and side photo to info@paramounttheatrecr.com along with the child's name, age, parent/guardian name, and a phone number by Monday, January 25.  The role will be chosen and contacted by Friday, January 29 to handle the remaining details.
