Get ready, Iowa. The band that's played countless times in the state since first hitting the charts in 2000 with "Prayin' for Daylight" is now bringing food to Iowa. Rascal Flatts members Gary LeVox, Jay DeMarcus, and Joe Don Rooney (left to right in the photo below) are set to open Rascal Flatts Restaurant later this year.

Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines made the announcement today that the country-themed bar and restaurant will be opening later this year. The restaurant will be a big one. It will cover 7,000-square feet on two stories, located across from the Flix Brewhouse brewery at the mall in Iowa's capital city.

According to a post on the mall's Facebook page, the new restaurant:

Will reflect a rustic aesthetic and of course, country flair. The renderings feature marquee letters on an inside wall reflecting a local flavor, with floor-to-ceiling hardwoods. Site plans also include an extensive patio area for outdoor eating and performance areas indoors.

The new restaurant will also feature live music, according to the Des Moines Register. The very first Rascal Flatts Restaurant is open in Stamford, Connecticut. It offers line dancing each Thursday. The Stamford menu includes everything from smoked wings to grilled salmon and slow-cooked apricot ribs. You can see the full menu for that location HERE.

Other cities awaiting openings of new Rascal Flatts Restaurant's that have already been announced include St. Louis and Orlando. The Des Moines location is expected to open late this summer.
