Red Sneakers for Iowa City Ronald McDonald House
Once again 104-5 KDAT is Proud to support the 30th Annual "Red Shoe Half Marathon/Run/Walk" for the Ronald McDonald House Charities in Iowa City. Its happening Sunday (5/4) in front of the Ronald McDonald House. Be sure to wear your Red Sneakers or anything Red for the event! We'll see you at the Finish Line!
WHAT: Hundreds of runners and walkers will hit the streets of Iowa City in the Red Shoe Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk on Sunday. The 30th annual race to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois has a new name and a new look, as runners are encouraged to wear red shoes. The race, which is presented by Scheels and GEICO, is part of “Iowa’s Longest Marathon,” along with the Iowa City School District’s Run for the Schools in October.
WHO: Runners and walkers of all skill levels will participate, including families that have stayed at the Ronald McDonald House, corporate groups and other supporters.
