After a fire destroyed much of Riley's Cafe on 1st Ave in Cedar Rapids, arrangements have been made for those that enjoyed breakfast at the popular restaurant. Beginning on Friday morning at 6:30 a.m., breakfast at Riley's will be served at Daisy's Garage at 1117 1st Ave SE in Cedar Rapids.

Richard Pankey, who owns Riley's, is also the owner of Daisy's Garage. Daisy's will continue to serve it's lunch and dinner items from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

More than two dozen firefighters reported to the fire on Tuesday afternoon. An overheated vent behind a dishwasher appears to be the cause of the blaze. Pankey says its too soon to tell if the building can be repaired and restaurant can reopen in that location.
