The Iowa Cattlemen's Association and the Iowa Beef Industry Council are again preparing to name Iowa's Best Burger.

This is the eighth year the two groups have held the contest, which officially begins today. Nominations must be in to the Iowa Beef Industry Council office by the close of business Monday, March 13.

According to Brooke German, Director of Marketing for the Iowa Beef Industry Council, "To qualify to be named Iowa's Best Burger, the burger must be a 100% beef burger and served on a bun or bread product."

You can enter your favorite three different ways... by text, mail, or online. To enter your favorite, text BEEF to 313131 or get an online nomination form here. The social media hashtag to share your favorite is #IABestBurger. A paper ballot can be mailed to the Iowa Beef Industry Council office.

Iowa's Best Burger of 2017 will be named May 1. Last year, more than 6,200 nominations were received, covering more than 300 restaurants. The 2016 winner was The Chuckwagon Restaurant in Adair. Two years ago, the winner came from Fairfield.

Who will you nominate to be the winner of Iowa's Best Burger of 2017?
