Seth Rogen is getting back into the teen comedy business — sorry, tween comedy business this time — with Good Boys, a somehow R-rated movie about a bunch of 12-year-old lads juggling their own coming of age with a journey to replace a drone toy before their parents find out they broke it.

Variety reports that Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky are directing the movie from their own script in their feature debut. Rogen’s Point Gray Pictures and Good Universe will be producing, and from Variety’s description of the plot, it sounds like something you’ll enjoy if you liked Sausage Party or Superbad:

The project, described as being in the vein of Rogen’s “Sausage Party” and “Superbad,” is about four 12-year-olds caught between childhood innocence and lewd teenage corruption, who embark on a quest from the Los Angeles suburb of Tarzana to the Sherman Oaks Galleria to replace a broken drone before their parents get home.

Childhood innocence… lewd teenage corruption… always you wrestle inside us.

The writing team of Eisenberg and Stupnitsky has been nominated for multiple Emmys and WGA awards, and won the 2007 WGA comedy series award for The Office, as well as wrote Cameron Diaz starrer Bad Teacher.
