Settle This Argument – How Do You Pronounce BEVER?

It's time to settle this, once and for all.

Is the Northeast Cedar Rapids street and park named Bever pronounced "BEAVER"?

you know, like the animal...or the star of the TV Show "Leave It To Beaver"?

Or is it "BEVER" - that rhymes with LEVER (or EVER)?

I've had folks correct me for pronouncing it either way, and they are BOTH 100% absolutely sure they are correct. It's enough to drive a newcomer crazy.

Both ways cannot be acceptable, so now it is time to finally make it official.
