Speed Camera Poem from a Cedar Rapidian
Oh, H Ave Speed Cam, how I loathe you so
In driving rain, sleet or snow
I've focused my speedometer stare
To avoid another ticket snare
We've all been burned by your digital lens
Quite frankly, it's given us all The Bends
While Mayor Corbett debates legalities
Let me speak in generalities
The day when a ticket arrived without squad car intervention
Was the day I gave the City of CR a one-finger salutation
While the rage may be severe
Let me make this clear
Robots may soon do my vacuuming and dishes
Until then, the auto-bot cams make us their bitches
