Yes, St. Patrick's Day is over but the parades aren't over this week in Cedar Rapids.

Saturday is the annual St. Joseph's Day parade. The parade has a rich history in Cedar Rapids. Check out photos from the early 80's editions of the parade here.

The 2016 parade begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19. It will lineup on 4th Street in the NewBo district. It will head south toward 16th Avenue where it will turn right and cross the 16th Avenue Bridge of Lions and continue on through Czech Village to C Street.

A parade entry is just $15 and you can sign up Saturday morning. The registration form is available here.

Be sure to wear your red, the Czech national color and join the fun. The parade committee asks that you please leave pets at home.
