A couple of weeks ago, Brain went to Taco Bell and tried to order some Nacho Fries, just to be told that they were GONE. It feels like they came and went in the blink of an eye! They assured him that they would be back eventually, but they never said WHEN.

Last night I was scrolling through Twitter, just minding my own business, when I came across a tweet from Taco Bell that said:

"Counting down the days till $1 #NachoFries comes back."

I immediately clicked the link to the website in the Tweet, doestacobellhavenachofries.com, hoping that there would be a specific return date, but all I got was a stupid hourglass filled with cheese! It reads:

"When the cheese stops dripping, Nacho Fries will return."

There is a crap ton of cheese left in that hourglass, so my guess is that we won't be seeing them return in the next couple of weeks.

In just a little over two months, Nacho Fries officially became Taco Bell's most popular new item ever, beating out the Doritos Locos Taco. When they were on sale, Food & Wine reports that Taco Bell spokesman Matt Prince said, "We're seeing fries in one out of every three orders, compared to one out of every four for DLT.” Clearly, I'm not the only one who thinks Taco Bell needs to make this a permanent menu item! Just look at this glorious Nacho Fries BellGrande that I tried the day they came out:

You can keep your eye on the cheesy hourglass HERE.
