Thanksgiving Weekend Events in Eastern Iowa [LIST]

The holiday shopping season is upon us! This Friday is Black Friday and this Saturday is Small Business Saturday, so don't forget to get out there and support local businesses in our community! Aside from shopping, here are some of the big events going on this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday:

Elf the Musical
- Theatre Cedar Rapids
- November 23rd & 24th at 7:30 p.m. and November 25th at 2:30 p.m.

- Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City
- November 23rd at 11:05 a.m.

Cedar Rapids Christmas Tree Lighting
- Greene Square Park
- November 24th at 5:30 p.m.
  - Children's activities at the Cedar Rapids Public Library from 4 to 5 p.m.
  - Storytelling at 5:00 p.m.
- Live music from the Sweet Adelines
- The Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation Department will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots
Downtown Horse-Drawn Trolley Rides
- Iowa City Downtown District
- November 24th from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- "The trolley ride is FREE and it fills up very quickly (we normally are completely full within 30 minutes of opening), so get there early because spots are not guaranteed"
- Tickets will be handed out at Hills Bank and Trust in Downtown Iowa City starting at 11 a.m.
Santa at the Market!
- NewBo City Market in Cedar Rapids
- November 24th & 25th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- "While shopping at NewBo City Market for all your unique, locally made holiday gifts, stop to tell Santa what YOU want for Christmas and get your picture in front of our Christmas tree display"
- Free and open to the public
Craft Fair
- Fireside Winery in Marengo
- November 24th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

- Brown Deer Golf Club in Coralville
- November 24th from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Featuring hors-d'oeuvres, live entertainment, dancing, live and silent auctions, and more
