Well, we've finally made it! NBC's 'The Voice' kicked off the live rounds this week, but that means the competition is getting a lot more intense. So intense, in fact, that HALF of the contestants were cut! Each team only has three remaining members, except for Kelly Clarkson, who ended up gaining the winning Comeback Stage artist, Lynnea Moorer.

This season's first results show was pretty awesome, with performances from country singer Kane Brown and iconic 90s boy band the Backstreet Boys. To be totally honest with you, I think the new Backstreets Boys song is a JAM!

As far as the contestants go, a lot of people let their nerves get to them, but there were a few strong performers who really stood out to me. One of my favorites was Team Adam's Tyke James, who stepped away from his usual choices to sing the rock song "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon:

And then there's Chris Kroeze, who never ceases to shock me when he opens his mouth. His look and his voice just don't seem to match up, but I think that's why people love him! Plus, his cover of CCR's "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" was AWESOME:

Next up I chose DeAndre Nico. His version of John Legend's "Ordinary People" was absolutely phenomenal! He is definitely the best artist on Team Adam this season:

And finally, my last favorite performance of the week was from SandyRedd on Team JHUD. Her vocals are great, but she's also just so entertaining to watch. Her stage presence blows every other contestant out of the water. Here's her cover of "No More Drama" by Mary J. Blige:
