While not every county fair can be (or wants to be) as big as the Great Jones County Fair, there are many reasons to enjoy and be proud of what each of these small town county fairs have to offer.

The smaller county fairs offer spirited events and festivities for their communities with everything from corn dogs, cotton candy and ice cold lemonade to carnival rides, demo derbies and tractor pulls. Here are my picks for some of the best small town county fairs in Eastern Iowa.
