The Long Road To a Smooth 380 Northbound

We went through it last year on the southbound lanes of Interstate 380 in Cedar Rapids, and this year it's the northbound lanes' turn.  Last spring and summer, it seemed like the resurfacing project would never be finished and the southbound lanes smooth again.  I need to learn to be patient, because that part of I-380 is a joy to drive on now.  So while the northbound lanes are a tad bumpy (ok, maybe a bit more than a tad) right now, the payoff later this year will again be a good one.  The smell of hot asphalt will be filling our noses again soon, but it's a price we must pay.  Remember to be patient and most importantly, slow down during construction hours.
