You're having a baby! Will it be a boy or girl? Another big question... choosing a name. I've found that the most popular names around the U.S. aren't necessarily tops on the list here in the Hawkeye State.

They're still compiling data for 2014, but in 2013 the most popular boys names nationally were Noah and Liam. On the girls side, Sophia and Emma were number one and two on the list, respectively.

Here in Iowa, Emma was the most popular girls name, with 202 little girls given that name in 2013. Harper was second with 182, followed by Sophia, Olivia, and Ava. The runaway leader on the boys side was Liam with 217 little guys in Iowa given that name. Mason was second-most popular at 165, followed by Carter, Owen, and Noah.
