For those of you wondering why the price of gasoline has gone up so much the past few weeks, just look at the calendar. One of the biggest travel holidays of the year is in just a couple of weeks. But Thanksgiving is only partly to blame.

We all know we can expect gas stations to raise prices as we head towards the holidays. But there is another reason they're going up so fast right now. The price of oil this week hit it's highest price since 2015.That goes against the usual fall trend of prices falling significantly.

Prices rose an average of 6 cents this past week and are 31 cents higher than this time last year.
